Can the dining table be lowered to make a bed? We are renovating a 77 airstream now and cant decide whether to do dining area or sofa bed in front. Love your big dining area, just curious if its dual purpose.
Hi Tanya,
Yes, the dining table has shorter legs to convert to a very large bed. Probably too large. If we could re-do it, we’d make the the table a bit smaller in depth, same width and add a small love seat. The large table is great for having people over for dinner while using the Airstream though. It can sit 9 adults with lots of elbow room! If you go to a table, look into telescoping legs instead of swapping out legs.

Hi Chadd, we didn’t actually do the bunks ourselves. Make-A-Wish hired someone to do it. But I can certainly try and remember to take some more detailed photos for you if you still need them? The Windows are still functional. Sorry for the delay in responding.
We didn’t actually build the bunk beds. They were done for us as part of a the Make-A-Wish thing. Sorry! It looks like one of those things that you’ll have to just step into the Airstream and start visualizing everything and drawing it out – I don’t think there are many ready-to-do plans out there.

Can you share how you did the bunks? Are the windows still functional ? We have a 77 Sovereign and are wanting to put in bunks. Thanks in advance!

Do you mind sharing more pictures of the bunk progress? I just got our airstream and am planning on doing one side of bunks. Yours look awesome!
